Social Contribution
Mindful of its civic responsibility to the Thai society, Honda joins hand with various organizations in the government as well as private sectors to work for the enhancement of Thai people's quality of life -- be it in terms of education, environment or safety.

Honda Thailand Foundation
Established on August 6, 2003, the Honda Thailand Foundation was formed to support the Honda Group in Thailand's continuing Commitment to improve Thai society in which Honda has realized during its 38 years of business in Thailand. During 2002-2003, the Foundation has been focusing on activities which fit its main objectives; to promote education, to help Thai society, and to promote and maintain traditional Thai culture. These include, for instance, donating educational computers to needy schools through the Ministry of Education, supporting the donation to the Elephant Foundation of Thailand and the Ministry of Resources and Environment for the Elephant Patrols for Forest Conservation and Eco-tourism project, not to mention the Kathin Rite project in which donations are given to the Phra Baht Nam Phu temple in Lopburi province to help AIDS patients.

School Environment
On the occasion of H.M. the King's 6th Birthday Cycle in 1999, the Honda Group of Companies in Thailand initiated and funded a widely acclaimed "School Environmental Challenge Awards Project In Honor of HM the King" project. Aimed at inculcating environmental awareness among school children, our Group joined forces with the Thai Environment and Community Development Association (Magic Eye), along with the Education Ministry, Interior Ministry, and Science, Technology and Environment Ministry. Elementary and secondary schools nationwide have been invited to participate in the competition by submitting their environment development projects.

The first prize for Honda School Environmental Challenge Award Year 2001 and Year 2002 went to Ban Klong Hanua School in Surat Thani and Ban Ngew Mai School in Chiang Rai respectively.

Honda takes pride in its initiative to develop school-centered and action-oriented environmental awareness among future generations of Thai citizens, not to mention their families, teachers and local communities. We hope to expand the program to include every school nationwide.

Honda Football Clinic
The Honda Group of companies in Thailand, in conjunction with the Football Association of Thailand, organised the Honda Football Clinic by accepting applicants from around the Kingdom of Thailand. Young football players, aged from 10-12 years, will be able to cultivate their football playing techniques helped by Thai football "legends" and youngsters with outstanding skills. It is hoped that, through the Honda Master Class Camp, these trainees will be able to develop their own potential to the fullest and eventually become an integral part of the future of the Thai National Team.

Workshop for Drivers' License Applicants
HATC has joined hand with the Land Transport Department to launch a series of workshop for drivers' license applicants. The program has been designed to impart safety awareness through essential knowledge of safe driving, traffic regulations and driving etiquette. Successful applicants receive a driver's license at the conclusion of the workshop.

Safe-driving Program Members of "Honda Teen Club" and their friends, along with interested person over 15 years of age who participate in this program, will obtain both theoretical and practical knowledge about driving, the use of various equipment inside a Honda car as well as introductory car maintenance lessons. This program aims at preparing future generations of good drivers for Thailand.

Plant Visits Honda regularly invites its customers to see with their own eyes every stage of Honda car production at Rojana Industrial Park, Ayudhya province. The program aims at enhancing their confidence in quality excellence of Honda cars right up to delivery time.

Car Maintenance Seminars To broaden our customers' knowledge of car maintenance and enable them to look after their Honda car with confidence, HATC periodically organize seminars at Honda showrooms. The proceeding focuses on correct and safe driving skills, along with problem-solving readiness in case of an emergency.
